This is a lodge cast iron skillet or pan that has been hand finished to remove the rough cast. This finish is similar to what the older skillets would have had. This skillet will come coated in oil for shipping and we recommend youwas with your favorite dish washing soap. Then oil with your oil of choice, after applyingthe oil pat the pan dry with a lint free cloth and bake upside-downin the oven @450° For 1.5 hours. You may repeat this process as many times as you like but 1-2 time should be sufficient.
